Idonea is 1 year old!

Our little one is already a year old! It's amazing how quick it's gone. This last month Grandma and Grandpa Harvey journeyed up from Iowa to help celebrate Idonea's birthday on March 9th. We were also grateful to have a number friends over to celebrate the big day with us. Jen sometimes likes to call Idonea baby seal because she really likes to swim, and a friend from church picked this up, calling her "Natsikuluk," the Inuit word for little seal. So Daddy Kerry decided to make her a birthdaycake in the shape of a baby seal (it was a banana cake since Idonea likes anything with banana).
It was also exciting to celebrate with Jen's Dad on his 70th Birthday, March 11! March is a festive month for us, as our Anniversary was on the 3rd and Jen's birthday on the 18th. So when her parents were here we just threw in celebrations for Kerry and Jen's Mom to round it all out. Idonea had lots of fun playing and interacting with Grandma and Grandpa during the 10 days they were here. Even Dune had a playmate, Buster, over for several weeks as we were dogsitting for a friend. It also happened to be "SnoBreak" here around the same time which included ice carving and some other winter activities. Elizabeth Penashue once again took her spring walk into the mealey mountains, though the warm weather meant the trip ended before reaching their destination. We took a much shorter walk down to the river where we observed a large, unique ice circle spinning slowly in the water caused by a natural eddy in the river. Kerry's been doing a bit more fiddling these days and performed a concert with some friends in a group called Festiva. It's been a fun and busy month! Hope you all enjoy the pictures!
